Cape Town - Free State police have released a photo of two men they want to question for their investigation into the kidnapping, robbery and rape of a woman at a shopping centre in Welkom earlier this year.
Three men overpowered the 32-year-old woman in her car at the Game Centre in the city in broad daylight, at 15:30, on April 16, police said in a statement on Friday.
They assaulted her and forced her to drive to Lakeview, where they demanded her bank card and PIN. Two of the men walked to an ATM to get cash and left her with the third man.
He allegedly raped her inside the car, gave her back her car keys and told her to drive away.
Police obtained a photo of two men withdrawing cash at an ATM and were circulating it in the hope that somebody would recognise them.
Information could be given to Detective Captain Bizza Ntsiane, the commander of Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit on 057 391 6186 during office hours, or on cellphone number 082 466 6762.
