Durban - Police officers used grit and resolve to detain a jaywalking goat – found wandering on the road in the middle of Westville North on Tuesday.

Officers wrangled the errant animal and detained it at the Westville police station. According to the station’s Facebook page, officers had been on patrol when they noticed the wayward pedestrian.
“The goat was in the middle of traffic so the guys decided to ‘recover’ it and book it in at the charge office. The Kloof SPCA were called to assist and promised to send a vehicle out to pick him up.”
“We haven't had any livestock at the station since the late 1990's when we arrested goats trespassing on Pavilion property before a proper fence was put up,” the post said.
