The clubs are out at Pearl Valley Golf & Country Estate as the developers of the luxury property are facing accusations of alleged financial misconduct as well as "authoritarian" and "obfuscatory" behaviour.

With South African professional golfer Richard Sterne and a group of homeowners on one side of the argument, Martin Venter the CEO & Founder of the Val de Vie Group of Companies and three-time Olympic gold medalist Ryk Neethling on the other; it is a battle of the affluent with the frontlines drawn in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley.

On 18 March, a letter was addressed to Sterne from Pearl Valley Investments (PVI).
