Durban – An 80-year-old farmer was seriously beaten in an armed robbery in Isnembe, north of Durban, on Monday, a security company said on Tuesday. The man was in intensive care. 

Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) spokesperson Prem Balram said his officers were dispatched to a farm in Isnembe after receiving reports of an attack.

Balram said officers found the 80-year-old bleeding extensively from wounds he had sustained during the attack.
