Four killed in KZN accidents

Johannesburg- Four people died in two separate accidents in KwaZulu-Natal following a busy Christmas weekend, paramedics said on Monday.

Both accidents involved bakkies, EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie said.

Three people were killed when a bakkie overturned on the R102 in the Stanger area early on Monday morning. Thirteen people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.

On Sunday night, one person died in an accident involving a minibus taxi and a bakkie on the N2 at Ngabeni, near Izingolweni. Three others were injured.

McKenzie called on motorists to be vigilant as the number of road fatalities continued to increase.
