The South African Weather Service issued a yellow level 2 severe thunderstorm warning for the eastern parts of the Eastern Cape and the western parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

The weather in your region:

The north of Gauteng will be hot, otherwise the province will be partly cloudy and warm, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

Morning fog patches will occur along the Mpumalanga escarpment, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm to hot.

There will be isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers on the Highveld, with scattered showers in the extreme south, while the Lowveld will be scorching.

Limpopo will be partly cloudy and hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme south-west.

It will be partly cloudy and hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the North West.

The Free State will be partly cloudy and hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, but scattered showers in the east.

The Northern Cape coast will be cloudy in the morning, with fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot, but scorching over the northern interior.

Isolated afternoon thundershowers are expected in the north-east.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Parts of the Western Cape interior will be hot.

The rest of the province will be fine and cool to warm, but it will be partly cloudy in the east.

Morning fog patches are expected along the west coast, where it will be cloudy, spreading along the south coast by the evening.

The wind will be light southerly to south-easterly, becoming south-westerly to westerly from the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

It will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the west of the Eastern Cape.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly in the afternoon.

The eastern half of the province will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal will be partly cloudy and warm, but it will be hot to sweltering in the north.

Scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers are expected in the south and west.

The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly in the north, otherwise southerly to south-easterly.
