The South African Weather Service has issued extremely high fire danger warnings for the eastern parts of the Namakwa District, central parts of the Northern Cape, the Witzenberg municipality and the central Karoo.

The weather in your region:

Gauteng will be partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

It will be cloudy in the east of Mpumalanga at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but hot in the Lowveld.

Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the west.

Cloudy skies will prevail in the east of Limpopo.

The rest of the province will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme south-west from the evening.

The North West will be partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers.

It will be partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the Free State.

The Northern Cape will be fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-east.

The wind along the coast will be strong southerly to south-easterly.

It will be cloudy and cool to warm, with morning fog along the Western Cape coast.

Otherwise, the province will be fine and hot to scorching. It will become partly cloudy in the north-east in the afternoon.

The wind along the south coast will be light and variable in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

It will be cloudy along the south coast of the Eastern Cape.

The western half of the province will be fine and hot to sweltering, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Isolated showers and thundershowers will occur in the north.

The wind along the south coast will be moderate south-westerly.

The eastern half of the province will be fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

Scattered showers will occur in places along the escarpment.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.

Morning fog will occur over the interior of KwaZulu-Natal.

There will be rain in the extreme north-east.

Otherwise, the province will be partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west, but scattered showers in the extreme south-west.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south-easterly north of Durban, otherwise moderate north-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.
