Cape Town - Six men, who were allegedly plotting to kill a witness in a criminal matter, were thwarted in Khayelitsha, Western Cape Hawks said on Thursday.

Their vehicle was intercepted along Pama Street on Tuesday afternoon as part of a sting operation, said Hawks spokesperson Captain Lloyd Ramovha.

Officers found two unlicensed firearms.

Ramovha said the men were set to appear in Khayelitsha Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
