
Western Cape police have asked the public for help in tracking down a man who allegedly robbed a movie crew of equipment worth an estimated R4 million in Gardens, Cape Town.
A group of suspects who pretended to be customers allegedly robbed a camera studio situated at Glenville Terrace, Gardens, Cape Town on Friday 13 November at about 09:15, holding the staff at gunpoint.
"They took high quality lenses, cameras and other movie making equipment worth an estimated R4 million and fled the scene in two motor vehicles, a white Toyota Etios and a brown Toyota Corolla", police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said.
He said that the incident was captured on the CCTV cameras and one of the suspects was recognisable in stills.
A business robbery case is under investigation.
