Durban – Four suspects have been taken in for questioning following the murder of KwaZulu-Natal Chief Linda Mathonsi earlier this month, the Hawks said on Tuesday.
On Monday, December 5, Mathonsi, 58, was shot in the head and neck while travelling with his daughter, 25, in the Chappies area in Mandeni, north of Durban.
She was shot in the arm.
The Hawks said the four men were apprehended on Tuesday.
"One of the men was found in possession of a firearm. The firearm was seized and will be sent for ballistic testing to establish if it was used in the commission of crime."
