The Hawks have taken over the investigation of former President Jacob Zuma's inquiry into state capture walkout, their spokesperson has confirmed to News24.
"There was a contempt charge laid against one of the prominent state capture inquiry witnesses who was called to account to the commission. The person allegedly walked out of the inquiry and consequently, a charge was laid at the Hillbrow police station," Lieutenant-Colonel Philani Nkwalase said.
"We can confirm that the matter has been referred to the Hawks for further investigation."
