Heavily tattooed corpse washes up at Camps Bay

Cape Town - Mystery surrounds the identity of a man whose body washed up at Oudekraal, Camps Bay, on Sunday.

The heavily tattooed corpse was discovered by a passer-by at about 17:50, police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said.

The body was "very decomposed", he said.

"The victim is unknown and no person drowned at that side of the beach in the last six months."

Police have opened an inquest docket and a post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death, Van Wyk added.
