Johannesburg – The son of the murdered television personality Hope Zinde is expected to make another appearance in the Brits Regional Court on Tuesday in connection with her death.

Mark Warona Zinde, 23, was arrested in June 2016 after his 50-year-old mother's body was found in the boot of her Range Rover at her home in Pecanwood Estate, Hartbeespoort.

At the time, it was reported that a friend had struggled to get hold of her for a few days and that her son had refused to open the door.

He only opened when police arrived. They found bloody marks leading from the bathroom to the garage.

Drugs and a 10kg weight covered in blood were found in the home, police said at the time.

Zinde was previously sent for evaluation at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital.
