'I was appalled' - passenger details experience during Mango flight's loss of cabin pressure

Allegations that safety equipment failed onboard a Mango Airlines flight are under investigation by the company.

Flight JE 251 from Johannesburg to Durban lost cabin pressure on Monday, which caused oxygen masks to be deployed for passengers.

Mango Airlines spokesperson Sergio Santos-Van Vuuren confirmed the incident on Tuesday, saying the flight experienced a depressurisation incident. He told News24 that the aircraft had been referred for further technical investigation.
