When speaking of Africa, US President Joe Biden might appear to use better language than his predecessor Donald Trump, but their policy on the world's second largest continent is the same.

This is according to foreign affairs expert Dr Siphamandla Zondi who, on Wednesday, briefed Parliament’s International Relations and Cooperation Committee on Biden’s presidency and the relationship with South Africa.

"Biden has a better, like all democrats, comradery with us. He may think lowly of us, but he doesn’t insult us directly. Trump told us exactly what he thought. He put it, we are a shithole country. He called Namibia, Nambia. He did not even know the country.
