Cape Town - Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande was expected to announce whether there will be a university fee increase for 2017 when he addresses media on Friday.

This was after he received an advisory report from the Council for Higher Education on Thursday, his spokesperson Khaye Nkwanyana said.

The announcement on Friday afternoon is eagerly awaited, particularly by some student bodies who have said they will not accept even a whiff of an increase.
