Cape Town - A bag containing various arms and explosives was uncovered in a cemetery in Kleinvlei, Cape Town, Western Cape police said on Wednesday.
The bag was found buried in Welmoed cemetery on Tuesday night, Lieutenant-Colonel Andre Traut said.
It contained a hunting rifle with a telescope, a silencer, a smoke grenade, stun grenade, seven detonators, three R4 rifle magazines and various rounds of ammunition.
Two blasting caps were wrapped in a Zimbabwean newspaper. Some of the items were known to be used in ATM explosions.
No one had yet been arrested.
