A pilot in his 40s died when his plane crashed near the Nelspruit airfield on Friday afternoon.
ER24 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said that, when rescuers arrived, the plane was engulfed in flames.
Nelspruit fire and rescue services managed to douse the flames and the pilot's body was found near the aircraft.
He was believed to have been the only occupant.
The crash will be investigated by authorities.
