Johannesburg – Police are looking for two suspects who tried to break into a Linden home, and fired shots at the owner when they failed.

The suspects were thwarted when the home owner heard them trying to break through his gate, according to police. Police spokesperson Constable Carol Mulamu said the suspects fired shots at the owner, who fired back.

“Suspects could not manage to enter the premises and fled the scene on their gateway grey VW Polo to an unknown destination.”

No one was injured during the incident and a case of attempted murder has been opened.
