Police probing rape at South Rand Hospital

Johannesburg - A psychiatric patient allegedly raped another patient waiting for treatment at the South Rand Hospital in Rosettenville.

A case of rape was being investigated, police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said on Friday.

The psychiatric patient, a 59-year-old man, allegedly raped a 39-year-old woman with epilepsy who was waiting for treatment in the accident and emergency unit on Wednesday.
