Cape Town - Two weeks after she was found on a rubbish heap in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay, a puppy rescued by a group of children is a healthy ball of fur with a cute new name.

The children who found Bramble in the densely-populated Donse Yakhe area took her to the Domestic Animal Rescue Group (DARG). She was around five days old.

Fundraiser Debra Buys told News24 the pup’s eyes and ears were still closed and the umbilical cord was still attached.
