The South African Weather Service has issued extremely high fire danger conditions for the western parts of North-West Province, Kamiesberg and John Taolo Gaetsewe municipalities of the Northern Cape, the central and northern parts of the Free State, as well as the northern parts of Limpopo.

The weather in your region:

Gauteng will be fine and warm. The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme.

It will be fine and warm to hot in Mpumalanga, but very hot in the Lowveld.

It will become partly cloudy in the late afternoon.

Fine and hot to extremely hot temperatures will prevail in Limpopo. It will become partly cloudy in the western Bushveld later.

The North West will be fine and hot.

It will be fine and warm to hot in the Free State.

Fog patches will occur in the western parts of the Northern Cape, otherwise fine and warm to hot conditions.

But it will be partly cloudy in the south-east at first.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

It will be misty over the interior of the Western Cape at first, otherwise fine and warm.

The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly to south-westerly along the south coast at first, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be misty over the interior at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, becoming fine in the north by the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

Mist will occur over the interior of the eastern half of the province at first, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool.

Cloudy conditions with morning rain will prevail along the Wild Coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly

KwaZulu-Natal will experience morning fog patches in places in the interior, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, but cool in the south.

Isolated showers and rain are expected in the south and east, where it will be cloudy. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly, but moderate north-easterly in the north.
