'The ANC is struggling internally and it's more serious than before' - analyst on mayoral candidates

DA leader John Steenhuisen wants to expose the ANC's internal vulnerabilities by asking it to reveal its mayoral candidates for the local government elections.

This is according to at least two political analysts, who told News24 that the ANC's internal squabbles could hurt the party at the polls, which are expected to be held in October.

On Monday, Steenhuisen announced the DA's mayoral candidates to contest the five top municipalities across the country, including Nelson Mandela Bay, City of Johannesburg and City of Cape Town.
