Three injured in Lanseria Airport emergency landing

Johannesburg – Three men sustained burns and “traumatic” injuries when their light aircraft made an emergency landing at Lanseria Airport on Tuesday, paramedics said.

It burst into flames shortly after landing at 15:30, Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said.

Paramedics treated two of the men on scene before taking them to a level 1 trauma burn facility in Johannesburg.

Paramedics from another company treated the third man and took him to hospital.

The aircraft, registration ZU-TVB appears to be a converted Cessna 402 Falcon.
