The South African Weather Service has issued an extremely high fire danger warning for the central and northern parts of the Northern Cape, the north-eastern parts of the Western Cape, the southern parts of the North West and Free State, and the central and northern parts of the Eastern Cape.

The weather in your region:

Gauteng will be cloudy and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy from the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

It will be cloudy with morning fog patches along the Mpumalanga escarpment, otherwise, partly cloudy and cool to warm in the rest of the province.

Morning fog patches will occur along the Limpopo escarpment, with cloudy and cool to warm weather across the province.

There will be morning fog patches in the east of the North West.

The province will be cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers, except over the north-east.

It will become partly cloudy from the afternoon. 

Morning fog patches will occur over the east of the Free State.

The province will be cloudy and cool to warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

It will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in parts of the Northern Cape.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly, becoming light and variable towards the end of the day.

It will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, but cloudy and cool in the south-west of the Western Cape.

There will be light rain and showers along the coast in the evening.

The wind along the south coast will be light and variable at first, otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.

It will be fine and warm to hot in the western half of the Eastern Cape, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from the afternoon.

Morning fog will occur south of the escarpment.

The eastern half of the province will be partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated thunderstorms, except along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly.

Partly cloudy, fine and warm conditions will occur in KwaZulu-Natal

The wind along the coast will be gentle south-westerly in the north in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
