
Two men have been killed in Cape Town, while five others were left injured in an alleged vigilante attack at a taxi rank.
According to IOL, the men were accused of committing rape and hijackings. The men were reportedly brought to the Nyanga taxi rank from Lower Crossroads, then dumped next to a school.

Western Cape police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa said police were maintaining a strong presence in Nyanga after the attack.
According to Potelwa, detectives are investigating murder and attempted murder case dockets after the seven men were attacked at the taxi rank.
Potelwa said:
The circumstances around the attack are still under investigation, she said.
"Detectives are following up all leads, including the possibility that the motive is a vigilante attack," said Potelwa.
"The SAPS have reinforced deployments in the Nyanga taxi rank area in a bid to apprehend the suspects and prevent further criminal acts from occurring."
