Johannesburg - The issue of recalling President Jacob Zuma was never discussed by the African National Congress, the party said on Tuesday.
"I can confirm that there was never any talk of a recall," ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa told reporters in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
He also squashed rumours that Nhlanhla Nene had rejected an offer to be re-appointed back to his position as finance minister.
"He was never offered [his job back]," Kodwa said.
This was after what appeared to be a draft statement made the rounds which claimed the party would be recalling Zuma.
