A hot Tuesday is expected across the country, according to the South African Weather Service.

Fire danger warning 

- Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the central parts of the Eastern Cape, western and northern parts of the Western Cape, as well as the western and central parts of the Northern Cape.

Advisories

- A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in Richtersveld, Nama Khoi, and Kamiesberg Municipalities of the Northern Cape, as well as the Matzikama Municipality of the Western Cape, persisting until Wednesday.

Gauteng will be fine and warm.

In Mpumalanga, it will be partly cloudy in the east in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in the Lowveld.

Limpopo will be partly cloudy in the east in the morning, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in places in the south-western Bushveld.

The North West will be fine and warm.

In the Free State, it will be fine and warm.

The eastern parts of the Northern Cape will be fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places over the interior.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly.

The Western Cape will be cloudy with fog patches along the south coast in the morning, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot over the northern and western interior.

The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to south-easterly along the south coast, otherwise fresh southerly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

In the western half of the Eastern Cape, it will be fine and warm with morning and evening fog patches along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be light north easterly, becoming light to moderate south-easterly from late morning.

Conditions in the eastern half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and warm with morning and evening fog along the coast and adjacent interior.

The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly, becoming light to moderate north-easterly in the afternoon.

KwaZulu-Natal will be partly cloudy in the east with morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and warm, but hot in places in the north.

The wind along the coast will be gentle to moderate westerly becoming moderate easterly to north-easterly.
