The former chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises, Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, told the Zondo commission that holding former public enterprises minister Lynne Brown accountable was a challenge because she did not attend meetings.
In paragraph 13 of her affidavit - read out by the evidence leader, advocate Alec Freund, at the commission on Wednesday evening - Letsatsi-Dube said: "I did not experience any push back from Minister Brown, however holding Comrade Lynne Brown accountable was a challenge; she did not attend meetings of the portfolio committee but instead sent her deputy."
When asked to elaborate, she said she pointed out in her affidavit that Brown explained those meetings overlapped with Cabinet meetings.
