Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma has appointed advocate Richard Khaliphile Sizani as the chairperson of the Public Service Commission with immediate effect, the Presidency announced on Friday.

"Advocate Sizani, who was until this designation the deputy chairperson of the PSC, joined the PSC in 2011," Presidency spokesperon Bongani Majola said in a statement.

"He has participated in key transformation and democratic transition processes, such as the Codesa constitutional negotiations and the drafting of the Constitution of the Republic."
