After nearly two years of Covid-19 restrictions, this year the measures were all scrapped. With that came almost no communication from the health department about Covid-19.

While restrictions were in place, the department did a good job at communicating the importance of vaccination. But vaccination rates have stalled, and the country has had to give away millions of rands worth of vaccines.
