Cape Town - It feels like yesterday we welcomed the December holidays, and just like that 2016 is also drawing to a close! Soon you will explore the wonders of our beautiful country with all the kids by your side. We are looking forward to a multitude of festive events to keep the family busy in Cape Town, and the V&A Waterfront is one of the stops on our list.
The V&A Waterfront has a festive line-up of activities for children to enjoy during their summer vacation. Treat them to activities like the Pumptrack, a petting zoo, stargazing, Santa's Workshop and of course, the Christmas light show.
Kids will enjoy hours of fun while parents catch up on their Christmas shopping, but parents might be just as entertained by the exciting festive programme.
Family events and activities to check out at the V&A Waterfront for the next two weeks.
Fifty metres of fun is what children of all ages will encounter at the V&A Waterfront’s temporary pumptrack this festive season.
A pumptrack is a continuous track where the rider uses an up and down ‘pumping’ motion to propel the bicycle/scooter forward instead of pedalling, providing the perfect tool to improve balance, learn skills and improve confidence on a bike. Helmets, bikes and scooters will be provided free of charge. Not entirely restricted to children, adults are also encouraged to explore the Pumptrack.
