Cape Town - One family missed a wedding, and another a funeral in India after they had to wait more than 48 hours for a flight at Birmingham Airport.
More than 230 passengers were to fly from the London Airport on Air India on Friday night, 6 February, but learned that their flight had been delayed due to a technical fault.
When the airline announced that their flight had been cancelled completely, the Singh family, especially, had their frustration turned complete distraught as this meant that they were now unable to attend a family wedding.
Another family who were also scheduled to fly out on the Birmingham - India flight, had their heartache worsened when they realised that they would not make it to a funeral in India.
More than 40 passengers then spent 2 nights in local hotels waiting for an Air India flight bound for Amritsar, reports Daily Mail.
