Rudimental performs an epic gig on board new Virgin flight

Cape Town - In a quite over the top launch and inaugural flight for a new Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the UK chart topping band Rudimental performed live at 35 000 ft (10 kilometers) up in the air.

Richard Branson's company organised for the UK band Rudimental and another electronic music band, Gorgon City, to perform for an exclusive audience of fans and guests aboard the new Boeing 787 whilst thousands of viewers live-streamed the performance on the airline's website, reports Daily Mail.

The gig called #FlightDecks is the first ever to be performed soaring above the Atlantic ocean and it sure looks like an amazing party.

The Dreamliner took off from London Gatwick and landed in Atlanta, where co-owner Delta Air Lines is based, on Thursday, 23 October.

This is what the sky-high party looked like:

The Dreamliner has larger windows, mood lighting, more head space (for comfortable dancing?) and even an in-flight bar. Finally, a airplane that caters for party animal passengers looking for an 13 hour 'stomp'!
