Ultra - Cape Town 

SEE: The Ultimate guide to having an Ultra Weekend

What: Having hosted the largest electronic music festival in African history in 2014, Ultra South Africa is returning for its 2015 edition with even grander plans, with over 40 000 attendees passing through the Ultra gates across the two-day event.

Plaisir de Merle eve with Abigail Donelly

What: A culinary feast, prepared by Abigail Donnelly, food editor for Woolworths Taste Magazine, editor for Eat Out magazine and chief judge of the Eat Out Awards, paired with wines selected by Cellar Master, Niel Bester, will be served at an unforgettable Winemaker’s Table dinner at Plaisir de Merle.

Sanlam Cape Mile 

What: A new addition to the Cape calendar, the Cape Mile is a swimming race to be held annually in February at the Eikenhof Dam, from the Grabouw Country Club.

Crocworld Conservation Centre Snake Identification Lecture

What: Nature, and especially reptile lovers, can head on over to the Crocworld Conservation Center for an education talk by the center's general manager, Martin Rodrigues. His talk will address the important issue of snake identification, as well as advising guests on snake bite first aid. He will focus particularly on the snake species of the mid South Coast.

Cost: R70 per adult; R30 per student/pensioner - price includes tea, coffee and snacks 


Moonstruck concert – Clifton 

What: The epic beach concert it the perfect event to both party and celebrate love on Valentine's day.  Get there early, bring the family and a picnic and be prepared to have fun! Solid Gold Session Band will be playing some classic songs from the bygone era. Pack a picnic (no alcohol allowed) and round up the family and friends for a fantastic moonlit evening of music.
Where: Clifton 4th Beach, Cape Town 
When: 14 Febraury
Time: You can arrive early, but the music will start at 18:00 
Cost: There is no entry fee, but attendees are urged to bring money to buy glow sticks to support Sea Rescue.

Cape Peninsula Full and Half Marathons

What: This grueling yet stunningly scenic event is an official qualifier for the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon and Comrades, with many runners using it not only as their qualifier but also as their long training run.
