SAA improves on-board experience

Johannesburg - National carrier South African Airways (SAA) has announced three product enhancements set to come into effect from 1 April.

SAA customers will be able to flip through the pages of a newly designed on-board magazine, Sawubona while sipping on one of the world’s finest champagnes, Taittinger, as well as select cuisine from a menu designed by Chef Benny Masekwameng, Executive Chef of Tsogo Sun.

SAA Communications Manager Kabelo Ledwaba said in a statement, "The Airline has appointed Ndalo Media as the publisher of its on-board magazine, Sawubona. The Publisher has been tasked with production a bold publication that will unearth positive South African stories and share them with the world."

The airline will now also be offering one of the world’s finest champagnes, Taittinger to customers travelling business class on international and long-haul regional flights, as well as customers visiting SAA’s Premium and Cycad lounges.

The third and final product enhancement includes a collaboration with Tsogo Sun’s Executive Chef, Benny Masekwameng to create a new menu set to delight travellers’ taste buds.

"From these enhancements we home it is evident that SAA only offers the best of the best to its customers and the partnerships are part of the airline's mandate to bring the world to Africa and to take Africa to the world," said Ledwaba.
