Cape Town - Remember that awkward elephant who crashed a pool party in Botswana? Well, it seems like this kind of behaviour is now trending in the animal kingdom as another big, awkward animal decided to drop by for a drink at a safari guest lodge in SA.
A visiting couple, Kali Sakai and her husband, were on Safari at the Kariega Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, when they came upon a giraffe taking a sip from their personal pool at the reserve, which was situated at just the right height for a lazy giraffe to drink from.
Sakai and her hubby had just gotten back to their room from breakfast when they spotted the giraffe casually sipping away. The awkward tall dued seems to be aware of Sakai filming, but is rather nonchalant about the paparazzi.
Fortunately for the giraffe, the swimming pools at the Kariega reserve are not chlorinated during winter, as they are too cold for visitors to use.
