Cape Town - Young Sylwia Rajchel, a nursing student from Poland, was only 23 years old when she plummeted to her death on the famous Puente de Triana bridge in the city of Seville, southern Spain, in an attempt to take the perfect selfie.
Rajchel climbed on top of the railing on the bridge, and lost her footing while attempting to take a photo. She fell nearly 5 meters to her death on a concrete footing of the bridge below, reports Daily News. Another news site, Opposing Views, reported that Rajchel survived the initial fall but went into cardiac arrest and died soon afterwards.
Rajchel was a medical student travelling in Spain. Her mother, Bernadeta Rajchel, told the New York Post that going to Spain was a dream come true for her daughter, and that she aimed to live and work in Spain eventually.
