Lately Boeing has constantly been under the spotlight for plane faults, but Airbus' new A330neo is causing a bit of a stink.
French airline Aircalin has sent back one of their two new A330neos after it had been grounded due to an unknown smell in the cabin said to smell like 'wet socks', reports Stuff. It was delivered to the airline in September this year.

The smell was so bad that it caused vomiting, headaches and red eyes among the crew, but technicians have been unable to determine what is causing it. They recommended it be sent back to Airbus headquarters for further assessments.
According to Sam Chui, air samples showed no issues regarding the air filtration system and cabin crew were also tested to make the sure the cause of their symptoms wasn't related to something else.
However, it's also not the first time an odour has infiltrated the A330neo - TAP Air Portugal and Air Senegal have also reported similar problems with their fairly new planes since May.

For now, the odour will remain a mystery until Airbus engineers have made a thorough investigation of the plane.
