
Cape Town - Airlink has confirmed it will from 5 September 2016 introduce an additional flight on the Johannesburg – Bulawayo route.
The new morning flight is targeted at business travellers in Johannesburg says the airline and will depart weekdays, Mondays to Fridays, from OR Tambo International at 06:25 and arrive in Bulawayo at 07:45. The return flight departs from Bulawayo at 08:05 arriving at OR Tambo International at 09:30.
"Not only does the new morning flight provide additional flexibility when planning traveller itineraries, it will also provide additional capacity on the route” says Karin Murray Sales and Marketing Manager.
'Increased Christmas season capacity'
“Airlink has also added additional capacity over the Christmas season with an afternoon flight which will operate from 12 December 2016 to 15 January 2017” says Murray.
Fights depart OR Tambo at 15:00 arriving in Bulawayo at 16;20 with the return flight departing from Bulawayo at 16:40 arriving at OR Tambo at 18:05, so as to make the evening wave bank of long-haul intercontinental departures.
"The addition of a 19th aircraft to Airlink’s Embraer ERJ135 37 seat regional jet fleet has made the additional flights possible. The second flight will also allow Airlink to introduce additional capacity on the route."
