When you find yourself in a new spot and not wanting to fork out on sometimes expensive and often lacklustre  room-service menus this is the guide for you.

Made-up of the country's top casual restaurants as voted by readers in the Eat Out Mercedes-Benz Best Everyday Eateries - this is the fifth year running that the awards have showcased those neighbourhood spots locals have come to love.

“A lot of glory goes to fine-dining establishments, but we also need to celebrate the everyday eateries that keep us coming back again and again, for favourite dishes prepared just the way we like them. By celebrating these eateries, we share the neighbourhood gems you may not even know about yet,” says Adelle Horler, Eat Out Editor in Chief.

So whether you find yourself in illovo, Umhlanga or Tamboerskloof, you're sure to find something to still those hunger pangs.
