Cape Town - Difficult economic times might have you reconsidering your foreign travel plans this year, but don’t abandon your dreams of travelling abroad just yet. There is a solution - the Flight Centre Travel Group’s Annual Travel Expo.

Plan your escape

The expo which takes place at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg on 11 and 12 February 2017, has fantastic deals from airlines, cruise lines, resorts, hotels, tour and adventure companies and tourism boards on offer which will make travelling abroad and in South Africa considerably more affordable this year.

Over 120 top companies – including Emirates, Air Mauritius, South African Airways, Beachcomber, Flight Centre Holidays, MSC Cruises, Top Deck & Club Med – will be in attendance  with great deals, offering massive savings for travellers.

Ask the experts

Flight Centre Travel Group, South Africa’s largest travel company, will have 90 experts on hand to offer expert travel advice on alternate foreign destinations, as well as answer all travel-related queries.

There are also over R650 000 in travel prizes – including flights, holidays, hotel stays, tours and cruises – to be won. Attendees who book and pay for their trip or flight at the Expo stand in line to win a car valued at R120 00, courtesy of Avis, and a dream holiday valued at R60 000.

Artist, illustrator, designer and actress Julia Anastasopoulos, more popularly known as Suzelle DIY, will perform live.

“The expo is South Africa’s premier travel exhibition with unmissable deals – both  local and international  for anybody interested in travelling,” says Andrew Stark, Managing Director of Flight Centre Travel Group. “Last year 20 105 visitors attended the expo, 21% up on 2015 with turnover increasing by 29% on 2015. We expect this year’s showcase to be even bigger and better. Anybody looking for holiday value simply must attend.”
