Lufthansa cabin crew set for new targeted strike

Frankfurt (dpa) - Lufthansa's cabin crew workers plan to return to the picket lines for three days during the next week, their union, Ufo, announced Monday.

Work stoppages are now set for Thursday, Friday and November 30, the union confirmed, assuming Lufthansa does not meet workers' demands, said Ufo chief Nicoley Baublies.

The union has been locked in a battle with the German air carrier for weeks on the topics of pension plans and job security. Ufo staged a seven-day strike earlier this month that prompted the cancellation of 4 700 flights, affecting 550 000 passengers.
