Cape Town - The visa headquarters of Nigeria in South Africa is currently unable to issue visas for business, visitor or tourist visa applicants.
According to a notice on the visa headquarter's website, the "VisaHQ does not provide service for visas to Nigeria".
Liz Budge, manager of Ocean Air Travel in Johannesburg, confirmed the issue saying, "The consulate has no visa labels and that means no visas can be issued at all till they receive stock".
According to Budge, the Nigerian visa will remain unavailable until mid-February.
Traveller24 has attempted to contact the Nigerian consulate for more information regarding the issue, but is yet to receive any response.
On the headquarter's website, the consulate advises travellers who desperately need to travel to Nigeria to contact the nearest embassy or consulate of Nigeria.
