Friday, 6 April

SEE: Check out some beautiful flowers at the Cape Orchid Society Autumn Show blossoming over at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens from Friday, 6 April and 09h00 and continues until Sunday, 8 April at 16h00. Entry rates and times would be according to that of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens: Adults: R65, SA Students (with student card): R35, Children (6 - 17 years): R15, Under 6 yrs: Free, BOTSOC members: Free, SA Senior Citizens (with ID): Free on Tuesdays except on public holidays - you may buy tickets online at Webtickets or at the gate. 

DO: Dance your way over to the three-day long Cape Town Electric Music Festival (CTEMF) shaking down this weekend at Atlantic Film Studios in Montague Gardens. The party rocks on from Friday, 6 April at 15h00 and fizzles out on Sunday, 8 April at 12h00. Ticket prices range between R350 and R650 and can be bought here. TASTE: Just because Easter has passed, doesn't mean the chocolate fun has to end. Hop on down to Honest Chocolate and taper down your remnant chocolate cravings and maybe even chow down on their dessert version of the classic bunny chow.

EXPLORE: No need to fret about blue ticks if you check out the She Replies event taking place that's hosted by Hyroine. You can catch it in motion at The Drawing Room Cafe in Station Road, Observatory. The festivities kick off at 20h30 and run until 00h30 on Saturday, 7 April. Ticket rates are: R80 for pre-sold tickets and R100 at the door.

Saturday, 7 April

SEE: Check out The Garden State - a festival that will be rocking out this Saturday, 7 April from 16h00 and Sunday, 8 April until 04h00 at The Centre for the Book in Queen Victoria Street. Tickets are limited with only 300 up for grabs and can be booked here. For more information, visit their website.

DO: Sway your hips on over to the Mother City Hoop Convention 2018 event that will be swinging into action at Sea Point High School between 08h30 and 17h30. Ticket prices for the workshops are R450 (for all four workshops for early bird buyers - sale for these ended Sunday, 4 March), R400 (half pass - two workshops) and R600 (full pass - all four workshops). TASTE: Get your cheeks rosy at the All About Rosé event swirling into motion at the Jan van Riebeeck Sportvelde between 12h00 and 16h00. Ticket prices range from R195 (for under 18s) and hike up to R495 (for late VIPs) and is dependent on your preference of ticket type and when you book. Tickets can be bought here.

EXPLORE: Explore happiness at the So Happy Carnival 2018 going down at Fort Simon Wedding & Function Venue situated in Fort Simon Wine Estate, Bottelary Road. The party runs from Saturday, 7 April at 12h00 and flows until Sunday, 8 April at 02h00. General tickets range between R180 and R320 and can be bought here.

Sunday, 8 April

SEE: Rock out to Prime Circle at their Concert in the Park plugging into action at De Waal Park between 15h00 and 18h00. The concert is free, so grab a picnic mat, your family, friends & snacks and head on down for a fun vibe. For more information, visit the Concerts in the Park website.

DO: Get some shroom and have a fungi time over at the Low Tech Shrooms - Mushroom Cultivation event sprouting into action at Guerilla House in Somer Street, Surrey 09h30 and 14h30. Tickets are R300 and can be bought here.

TASTE: Enjoy some food and booze at the Chefs & Gin event going down at the Jan van Riebeeck Sportvelde between 13h00 and 18h00. Ticket prices range from R195 (for under 18s) and hike up to R495 (for late VIPs) and is dependent on your preference of ticket type and when you book. Tickets can be bought here.

EXPLORE: Take a leisurely stroll along tree edged paths in the Company's Garden. Entry is free and you can picnic in the garden or grab a bite to eat at the restaurants located within it while squirrels scurry around you.
