Cape Town – We are all familiar with the saying, ‘of all paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt’… and boy-oh-boy, does Lesotho possess some  attractive dirt routes? Though Lesotho is very well-known for its majestic mountains, there is much more to this underrated destination that you may think.

For adventure fanatics, Lesotho can very well be regarded as a paradise. This beautiful country offers a variety of interesting ways for it to be explored.

Apart from the gorgeous scenery, the people of Lesotho, modestly showcases their tradition and culture. This is a beautiful sight and great opportunity for tourists to show appreciation for how freely the people of Lesotho practise their tradition and culture with pride.

As you cross the border from SA, you’ll see women with buckets of water on their heads coming from the spring after collecting water. They don’t put their hands on the bucket to balance like you or I would, they just put it on their head and walk.

Traditional Basotho, decked with their tribal blankets, a big cultural tradition in the tiny African kingdom, all walking along the side of the road looking after their animals - sheep, goats, cattle, horses and donkeys.
