Cape Town - At the bottom of the globe are futurist structures that serve as high-tech research bases.
According to World Economic Forum, these "buildings of the future" are bases providing various countries information to assist scientists.
The top five advanced structures are Belgium's Princess Elisabeth which is the first zero emissions station, India's Bharati station which is made from shipping containers, Brazil's Comandante Ferraz, South Korea's Jang Bogo which is one of the largest stations, and UK's Halley VI which is Antarctica's first moveable research station.
The advanced stations are used to study the climate and polar marine life in the area.
