US swimmer Michael Phelps seemed less bothered by sharks when he took one on in a race for Shark Week, but ultimately lost to the predator.
Tragedy struck an elephant herd after a baby was hit by a speeding car, with herd trying desperately to help the calf. Speed kills, so remember to please slow down in national parks and nature reserves.
