Cape Town - Airport delays happen. They can very often leave us fuming, crabby and fraught with concern about connecting flights and transfer plans and costs.
For Paulo-Jorge Da Silva Martins, an SA Express pilot, it was an exhausting day. His flight had been delayed - only arriving at the King Shaka International Airport in Durban just after 02:00am in the morning. He does not state from where.
However, hearing the faint sounds of live piano music, Da Silva Martins was more than surprised by what he was hearing and seeing. He says he's heard people playing on the piano before, "some good and others not so good".
According to the video posted to social media by Da Silva Martins on 13 February, a Durban Airport SAPS office was practicing his classical talent on a piano in the deserted arrival terminal.
Da Silva Martins posted saying, "After a huge delay, this kinda made landing in Durban at 2am worth it. Respect!!!"
The identity of the security guard has not been revealed though - do you know who he is? Get in touch? info@Traveller24.com
