
Cape Town - South Africa is well on her way to spring, as the South African Weather Service predicts mild weather across the country on Monday, 15 August.
This after a rainy weekend in the Cape region, with gale force north-westerly winds experienced in the Cape regions.
For the new week, high seas with wave heights of between six and nine metres can be expected along the southern coast between Cape Agulhas and Port Alfred, while isolated showers are expected along the eastern coastal region and adjacent interior.
From East London upwards along the East Coast, a 30% chance of rain can be expected on Monday.
Although minimum temperatures will be very cold over the south-western interior of the country, maximum temperatures across the country will be warmer, especially in the Northern Cape, North West province, Gauteng, the Lowveld and the Western Bushveld.
Johannesburg in Gauteng will reach a high of 25°C, Pretoria will reach a mild 26°C and Bloemfontein in the Free state will reach 22°C.
